happy spring friends 🌸
idk about you, but something about spring just makes me feel new. maybe it’s the time change. or spring cleaning. don’t get me wrong, i love fall and winter, and while i sure am gonna miss the chilly weather, i’m also excited about the longer days. and…
spring fashion ✨
if you know me, you know i’m not the biggest fan of hot weather. and honestly, it shows in the way i dress. last year, i wrote about how i wanted to dress better during the hotter months.
and while progress has been made, i’ve still got a long way to go. so today, i thought I’d share some of the things on my spring fashion radar.
1). elevated tank tops:
as i get closer to 30, i’m realizing that it’s time to start elevating my style. not giving up the youthfulness of my style, but rather taking the youthfulness and giving it a more mature vibe. and for me, elevated tanks are one way to achieve this.
2). striped tees:
me and striped tees go hand in hand and i like to think it will always be that way :)
3). tiered maxi skirts:
these are nostalgia in skirt form. i used to own a few of these skirts growing up, so i love that they’re making a comeback.
4). short sleeve cardigans:
i’m already a big fan of cardigans so these short sleeve cardigans are the cherry on top. and they’re perfect for spring (p.s. aerie has some really cute ones).
5). button downs:
no matter the season, button down shirts will always (and i mean always) be a staple in my wardrobe.
6). ballet flats:
idk, but i think i’m slowly becoming a ballet flats girly. there’s something about them that’s so elegant. i especially love the mary jane style.
7). shorts + tall boots:
this combination is perfect for transitioning weather (ie. spring and fall) because it’s somewhat warm and somewhat breezy.
8). jerseys:
okay, so as much as i’d love to be a loyal sports fan, i’m just not. buuut these jerseys are having a moment, and while i never thought i’d join this trend, i’m starting to come around (especially paired with those maxi skirts!).
9). big maxi dresses:
in a similar camp to the maxi skirts, i’ve really been loving these big, billowy dresses for a super easy, yet super cute spring outfit.
10). slimline sneakers:
as for shoes, slimline sneakers have been a gamechanger for me post-air force 1s era. seeing how lightweight and elevated they are, i can’t go back to chunky sneakers now. 🙂↔️
